Dos Grados analyzes the Spanish energy market at Energyear España 2025

We participated in the panel on Spain’s role as a strategic destination for investors, developers, and IPPs.

Dos Grados took part in Energyear España 2025, one of the leading forums in the energy sector, which brings together top industry leaders and companies from the field of renewable energy.

On April 10th, our CEO, Luis Palacios Castañeda, was a speaker in the panel titled “Is Spain still an attractive market for IPPs, developers, and investors?”, where participants discussed Spain’s current positioning on the international energy map and the factors that are driving—or hindering—new investments.

He was joined by prominent professionals from the sector:

  • Francesc Filiberto, Head of Business Development at Nuveen, a TIAA company
  • Jonathan Jay, Country Manager at CVE (Changing Visions of Energy)
  • Lucía Conde, Country Manager at Econergy Renewable Energy Ltd.

The session was moderated by Luis Castro, Partner and Head of Energy & Infrastructure at Osborne Clarke, and provided a diverse and up-to-date perspective on the opportunities in the Spanish market within the context of the energy transition. It was a rich and insightful debate that highlighted how Spain remains a strategic market for renewable investment, albeit one facing major regulatory challenges that call for careful planning and ongoing dialogue between government and industry stakeholders.

Energyear 2025 is consolidating its position as a key platform for dialogue, networking, and the analysis of trends in sustainability, regulation, digitalization, and investment.
